Beyond the Window
A poem on isolation
Life used to happen in
the company of others
beyond the window
framing glimpses of
aspects of time, moving
beyond the company
she no longer keeps
Held motionless
by frames of time
beyond the window
the company of others,
repeating now
on an endless loop,
Glimpses of life,
reduced to reels
turning endlessly
She dreams of the day, it
ceases, afternoon light
gives way to shadows, so
she, too, becomes
what is unseeable
Perhaps a frame
in someone else’s endless loop
Timeless
beyond the window

This was very elusive, but quite enamoring to decipher. Wonderful piece!
